UINTAHS AND MIRROR LAKE

The past couple of weekends we have spent up in the Uintahs. We had to get up there as many times as we could before they close it for the winter. It is one of our favorite places to go.. obviously. The most recent time being up there, my parents and my cute neice presley met us up there for tinfoil dinners. It was freezing, so we were creative when it came to keeping her warm.. as you will notice in the pictures. Here is one of our ingenious ways of keeping her warm. Grandpas warm fleece blanket and baseball cap. This picture was so cute, I couldn't resist putting it up. Presley was so excited when we caught our one and only fish this trip, and she was completely intrigued with the fire. She was a good sport even though it was freezing and she had to use the scary potties.:)
Here is Presley and Grandpa with the only fish we caught this trip. I know, it's a lunker.
Presley with Grammy and Papa Cochran right before we ate our yummy tinfoil dinners.
The weekend before we were much more successul with our fishing. We were lucky to go up with Jeffs dad, Leo, our cute nephew Carson. This is one of the fish that Carson caught. We kept "uncle Jeff" busy getting all of our fish off our hooks for us. Cars and I both agree that those fish are way too slimy and icky to touch. We leave it to Jeff, and he is definatly a pro now.
This would have to be close to record size as far as fish go. This one was a fatty, I couldn't even fit my hands around it. It fought and tugged the whole way in. And yes, believe it, I am actually holding and touching a real live slippery gross sticky gooey fish. As you can see I'm absolutly disgusted by the look on my face. aka "Hurry and take the picture so we can throw this thing back in the water." Baby steps is what I keep telling myself. One day I just might take my own fish off my hook.
This was Jeff's biggest of the trip. We seemed to reel in some decent sized ones this trip. It was lots of fun.

Here are the boys, aren't they cute. It was fun to have Carson and grandpa along. Carson would get so excited everytime he had one on. That's what made it so much fun. He's quite the fisherman. Thanks for the fun day guys!
